I do the same thing with the stone and my brick makers. The coal/wood box is at the head of the line of fuel for my steam boilers so it goes onto the head of the belt line and empties the chest before the coal miners get a chance to fill the belt up. I also set up "recycle" boxes for thing like stone, wood, and coal. The addition of the logistic grid to the spidertron has been amazing, I absolutely adore it. For out dated tech I set up junk boxes by my steam boilers (any place that you will remember where they are is fine). Add a way to autotrash everything not directly requested by the logistics tab in the spidertron What I have doublechecked, but feel free to merge the topic if I have not found the right one.
(control+right click will move half of that item into the chest).
